I am pleased to deliver a Goodwill message at this auspicious event being Annual Law Week holding in the city of Yenagoa from the 25th to 29th May, 2022. I congratulate the Chairman, Executive Council and the entire members of the Yenagoa Branch for undertaking this laudable initiative to gather Nigerian stakeholders and key players in the legal profession and the Justice sector under one roof to discuss “Building a Stronger Judiciary”.
The theme of this edition is highly germane to the current state of the nation as I have long been deeply concerned about the state of our judiciary and anxious for every stakeholder to do all we can to improve the quality of legal services we offer to the public.
The Rule of Law stands as a vital underpinning for our society. By upholding the Rule of Law, our Judiciary acts in the interest of all Nigerians, securing their personal safety and freedom and safeguarding the integrity of the nation.
I look forward to a robust deliberation and recommendations that will proceed from this event.
