Council Of Legal Education Grants Full Accreditation To Caleb University Law Programme, Expands Admission Quota

The Council of Legal Education (CLE) has approved full accreditation for Caleb University’s Law programme and increased its admission quota from 50 to 110 students, effective immediately for the 2024/2025 academic session.

This significant development was confirmed in a letter signed by Ms. A. O. Osho, Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration. The approval follows the CLE Accreditation Panel’s visit to the Caleb University College of Law, City Campus, Magodo, on October 10-11, 2024.

Reacting to the announcement, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nosa Owens-Ibie described the achievement as “momentous,” adding that it reflects the university’s dedication to excellence in legal education.

“This is a thing of great joy for us, considering we have young legal talents, eminent scholars, and Senior Advocates of Nigeria actively contributing to the rapid growth of our Law programme. Our goal is to make it the first choice for legal education nationally,” he stated.

The CLE acknowledged Caleb University’s consistent investment in meeting compliance standards for admission quotas over the years. The expanded quota underscores the institution’s commitment to delivering top-tier legal education and providing a robust platform for students aspiring to become global legal experts.

“All our programmes, including Law, are fully accredited by the National Universities Commission and other professional regulatory bodies,” Prof. Owens-Ibie added.

In addition to its Law programme, Caleb University boasts fully accredited and highly sought-after programmes, including Nursing, Mass Communication, Architecture, Computer Science, International Relations, Cybersecurity, Accounting, Business Administration, Criminology, Software Engineering, and Economics.

This latest development further solidifies Caleb University’s reputation as a leader in higher education, offering diverse opportunities for academic and professional growth.
