Nigerian Army Opens Recruitment For Tradesmen, Non-Tradesmen, And Women

The Nigerian Army has announced the commencement of recruitment for tradesmen, non-tradesmen, and women for its 89th Regular Recruits Intake.

The Army shared this update on its official X handle on Tuesday, detailing the start of the online application process.

According to the statement, “The Nigerian Army informs the general public that the online application for the 89 Regular Recruits Intake for Non-Tradesmen and Women has begun for all interested candidates.”

The Army emphasized that the application is free, advising candidates to apply only once as multiple submissions would lead to disqualification. Interested applicants can visit http://recruitment.army.mil.ng to complete their online registration between March 31 and May 17, 2025.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to report to their respective states of origin for the screening exercise, scheduled to take place from June 2 to June 16, 2025.

The statement further outlined the application criteria, noting that candidates must be single Nigerian citizens by birth, possess a National Identity Card, NIN, and BVN printout, and meet the Nigerian Army’s medical, physical, and psychological standards.

Applicants should have no criminal convictions, hold a valid birth certificate or age declaration, possess a certificate of state of origin, and meet the height requirements of at least 1.68 meters for male candidates and 1.65 meters for female candidates.
