Virtual Mentorship Programme Berths For Law Students, Young Lawyers
A virtual mentorship program has been designed for final-year law students and young lawyers in Nigeria by a legal practitioner, Kayode Akinsola, as part of his efforts to give back to the society and help prepare young practitioners for the rigours of legal practice.
The programme, which is expected to intimate participants of the solutions to the various challenges young lawyers are facing in the course of their duties and how to navigate through, is scheduled to hold from Monday, October 24, 2022, till Friday, November 18,
2022.
Speaking on the modalities, the project Director, Barr. Bimpe Adeoye said “there are 10 slots for final year students,10 slots for law school students and 10 slots for young lawyers,” adding that “the program is like giving back to the society. Young students who are graduates of law and people who are still undergraduates of law would not be exempted, but the selection process would be based on merit.
“He would mentor them on how to target the best law firms for their internships and how to write a better Curriculum Vitae. Corporate commercial aspect of law will also be part of the sessions.
“The goal of the mentorship programme is to raise a cross-section of young minds, who seek to understand the applicability of knowledge to their business environments. The mentees are taken through the process of Action Learning and they would be exposed to business solutions in real-time.

Over the years, Akinsola has assisted individuals and organisations achieve their corporate objectives and the core of his practice is to develop business plans and execute them.
While focusing on market trends, he writes a company policy manual that regulates staff activities and has created business solutions that met and exceeded industry standards.
