UPDATE: Legal Battle Unfolds Over Suit Filed By NBA-SPIDEL As Court Considers Competence

The ongoing legal saga at Court No. 8 of the Federal High Court, Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/90/2024 witnessed a significant development today, March 20, 2024.
Maxwell Opara, representing the plaintiffs, highlighted that the 2nd Defendant had not been served with the necessary processes and requested more time to file additional authorities. Court replied that the matter is for the plaintiffs to address the court on their written addresses on issues raised by the court. This must not be served on other parties as parties are entitled to file their respective addresses on the issue raised by the court. As such, the matter is between parties and the court.
In response, the plaintiffs’ counsel sought a two-hour extension to file additional authorities. The court acceded to this request, allowing the plaintiffs to file and send authorities, while adjourning the matter to March 21, 2024, for a ruling.
