Chinasa Unaegbunam, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has been appointed to the Advisory Board of The Hague Court of Arbitration for Aviation (HCAA). This prestigious appointment highlights her exceptional expertise in aviation law and solidifies her position as one of Nigeria’s foremost legal professionals in the sector.

The announcement was made in an official statement by The Hague Court of Arbitration for Aviation, unveiling a diverse 40-member Advisory Board comprised of renowned global experts in aviation law, mediation, and arbitration. Unaegbunam joins an esteemed group of professionals, including Claire McDermott, Mary Walker, and Wade Thomson, who will provide strategic counsel to the HCAA in promoting arbitration and mediation as preferred methods for resolving contractual disputes within the aviation industry.

A statement by Mr. Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, described Unaegbunam’s appointment as a testament to her unparalleled expertise and dedication to aviation law. He also highlighted her achievement as a significant milestone, marking her as Nigeria’s second Senior Advocate of Nigeria specialising in aviation law.
