Transcorp Appoints Atinuke Kolade As New Group Company Secretary
Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp) has announced the appointment of Ms. Atinuke Kolade as its new Group Company Secretary, effective December 3, 2024. This was revealed in a notification signed by Deshola Shittu, the Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communication, to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).
Ms. Kolade takes over from Mr. Stanley Chikwendu, who has moved on to a new role within the company.
With over 18 years of experience as a solicitor and barrister of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Ms. Kolade brings a wealth of expertise in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic legal advisory. Her experience spans various industries, including power, oil and gas, financial services, and healthcare.
Before joining Transcorp, Ms. Kolade was the Group Head of Retention and Growth at Avon HMO, where she led initiatives that resulted in a 347% increase in revenue in 2023–2024. She has also served as General Counsel and Company Secretary at Avon HMO and as Subsidiary Governance Officer at Heirs Holdings, where she developed governance frameworks that improved operations across subsidiaries.
A graduate of the University of Ibadan and Lagos Business School, Ms. Kolade is also a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. Her appointment is expected to further enhance Transcorp’s governance and operational excellence.
