Teyojesam Eko Appointed Senior Special Assistant (Media) To President Of African Bar Association

The President of the African Bar Association (AfBA), High Chief Ibrahim Eddy Mark, has appointed Mrs Teyojesam Eko as his Senior Special Assistant (Media).
High Chief Ibrahim Eddy Mark announced Teyojesam (TJ) Eko’s appointment and praised her achievements in legal media. He highlighted her success in co-publishing The Metro Lawyer (TML), an online law blog consistently run for several years. “We recognize your outstanding contributions to legal media. We expect you to apply your wealth of knowledge to this appointment,” he stated.
Eko, a seasoned legal professional, has built extensive experience in litigation, banking, maritime law, and corporate practice. She began her legal career at Y. C. Maikyau & Co. before transitioning into banking. She holds a Master’s degree in International Maritime Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration. Over the years, she has served in various legal and public service roles.
As a founding partner of The Metro Lawyer, she has played a key role in legal news reporting and advocacy. She also actively participates in the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), contributing to committees and initiatives that advance the legal profession.
AfBA expects Eko’s appointment to strengthen its media engagement and enhance its visibility across Africa’s legal community.
