Wike Appeals to Protesters, Expresses Readiness for Dialogue

Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, has once again invited the “End Bad Governance in Nigeria” protesters to engage in dialogue.
He assured that the government is willing to listen to their concerns and clarify some governance issues they might not be aware of.
Wike made this appeal on Thursday, August 1, while presenting the staff of office to four newly appointed chiefs in the territory.
He commended the protesters in the FCT for their peaceful conduct and encouraged them to continue resisting those who aim to destabilize the nation.
Wike emphasized that Abuja, as the nation’s capital, is a valuable asset, and any damage to the FCT would have detrimental effects on the entire country.
