Supreme Court Set To Hear Atiku’s Request To Provide New Evidence Against Tinubu.
The Supreme Court will hear PDP presidential contender Atiku Abubakar’s case to nullify President Bola Tinubu’s victory.
On the same day, the Supreme Court will hear Atiku’s plea to present new evidence alleging President Tinubu submitted a fraudulent certificate to INEC.
Nigeria’s highest court scheduled a 9am hearing for Atiku’s and President Tinubu’s lawyers to address its panel of seven Justices on whether it has the power to grant the request.
Lawyers from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and INEC, joint respondents in the case, will also address the court on the disputed proposal.
They must argue and quote relevant statutes to determine if the Constitution and Electoral Act 2022 allow such a proposal.
On Monday, October 2, Chicago State University gave Atiku Tinubu’s academic records.
Judge Nancy Maldonado of the District Court of Illinois, Eastern Division, Illinois, ordered him to receive the 32-page documents.
