Supreme Court Rejects Atiku’s Request To File CSU Evidence Against Tinubu.

The application put forth by Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to introduce additional evidence in his appeal against President Bola Tinubu was denied by the Supreme Court.

The appeal filed by Atiku was rejected on the grounds of absence of jurisdiction.

The apex court determined that the case was submitted belatedly and was unable to establish the motive for the forgery.

It is worth noting that Atiku had strived to introduce new evidence implicating Tinubu of forgery.

He implored the Supreme Court to investigate the issue due to its significant constitutional and democratic ramifications.

The newly submitted evidence that Atiku aimed to present comprised Tinubu’s academic records, which had been delivered to him on October 2 by the Chicago State University (CSU).

The court was informed by the former vice president that the newly introduced evidence was of the utmost importance to his appeal and that it possesses inherent jurisdiction to consider and render a decision on the application.

Nevertheless, the Supreme Court ruled that it lacks the authority to consider the newly presented evidence due to the passage of the constitutionally mandated time limit.
