A Kebbi High Court sitting in Birnin Kebbi, presided over by Justice Shamsudeen Jafar, has sentenced three men to life imprisonment for raping an 18-year-old married woman who is deaf.
The convicts, identified as Amiru Sani, Aliyu Umar, and Bashar Dan-Inno, are from Wararin Zaromawa village.
According to the Prosecution Counsel, Faridah Muhammad, the convicts faced two charges: criminal conspiracy and rape. They committed the crime in Wararin Zaromawa village, located in the Gwandu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Muhammad stated, “The defendants broke into the victim’s house while she was asleep and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.”
