Supreme Court Announces November 1 Deadline For 2025 Notary Public Applications

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has announced that the online portal for the 2025 Notary Public appointment exercise will officially close on Friday, November 1, 2025.

In a statement issued by the Chief Registrar, Kabir E. Akanbi, Esq., the Court advised all eligible legal practitioners to complete and submit their applications before the deadline. It warned that no late submissions would be accepted and that the application period would not be extended.

The notice serves as a reminder to legal practitioners nationwide who intend to apply for appointment as Notaries Public to ensure timely compliance with the stated deadline.

The Supreme Court further noted that information regarding the opening of the Notary Public Application Portal for the 2026 appointment exercise would be communicated in due course.

The annual Notary Public appointment process remains an important professional exercise under the Supreme Court’s supervision, conferring on successful applicants the authority to authenticate documents, administer oaths, and perform other statutory duties within the legal framework.
