Simon Ekpa To Be Extradited To Nigeria: CDS Confirms Completion Of Process

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa has confirmed the completion of the extradition process for Simon Ekpa, a controversial figure, marking a major step toward his return to Nigeria from Finland to face justice.

In a statement, the CDS announced that all necessary diplomatic and legal formalities with Finnish authorities had been finalised, ensuring Ekpa’s handover to Nigerian officials. Ekpa is expected to arrive in Nigeria in the coming days to face legal proceedings for his alleged actions.

Musa emphasised that Ekpa would be treated in accordance with the law, reiterating the government’s commitment to upholding justice and due process.

Ekpa’s extradition is being hailed as a significant victory for the Nigerian government, which has been pursuing him for alleged offences that have drawn national and international attention. The move underscores the government’s determination to address impunity and ensure accountability.

The development has sparked widespread reactions, with many Nigerians applauding the news as a milestone in the fight for justice and the rule of law.
