The Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt has rejected two appeals filed by Local Government Chairmen aligned with the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
These appeals, identified as CA/PH/137M/2024 and CA/PH/145M/2024, were brought forward by Enyiada Cookey-Gam and six others.
The appellants were contesting the High Court’s decisions related to the extension of their tenure.
On Monday, the Court of Appeal ruled that the appeals lacked merit and consequently dismissed them.
