The first female General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and Life Bencher, Mrs Hairat Ade-Balogun, OON has endorsed Yakubu C. Maikyau, SAN for the NBA Presidency.

In a statement made available to The Metro Lawyer (TML), the leading female lawyer whose name is synonymous with excellence, pace-setting, trail blazing and many firsts had this to say,

The emergence of Yakubu C. Maikyau as a frontline candidate for the Presidency brings support to the belief that NBA members are now ready to play their part in the affairs of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), of course ready to build on the new brand of leadership introduced by the outgoing President Olumide Akpata.

I believe that the future of the NBA lies with the Lawyers such as Yakubu C. Maikyau who have worked within the 2020 — 2022 Administration and now possesses the skills and passion to serve in the highest office of the Bar.

He is the kind of person required to lead and invigorate all members (old and young) who are willing to serve.
