The Oyo State Police have launched an investigation into the abduction of Olugbenga Olawore, a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), along with 14 other individuals.
The incident occurred on Friday along the Lanlate-Eruwa road in Oyo State, where Olawore and fellow passengers were traveling in a 14-seater bus.
Confirming the incident on Sunday, the Command Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso, assured that the police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
Osifeso stated, “Investigation is in progress. Updates will be provided accordingly, please.”
Olawore, currently serving as a pastor at Heavens Gate Parish, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lagos Province 73, along Agbara-Lusada Road in Ogun State, was returning from Ipapo town. He had gone there to finalize burial arrangements for his mother, Deaconess Deborah Olawore, whose burial is scheduled for April 26.
