Police Arrest Two Suspected Ritualists For Killing And Beheading 10-Year-Old In Adamawa

 

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the gruesome murder of a 10-year-old Almajiri boy, Abdalla Lawali, in Jada Local Government Area.

In a statement released by the command, police operatives acted on credible intelligence. Consequently, they arrested Ibrahim Abdul Malik (27) and Aliyu Abdul Malik (18). Both are residents of Anguwan Sarkin Yamma, Jada. The suspects allegedly killed and beheaded the minor, who was reported missing on March 7, 2025.

After receiving information about the suspects’ involvement, Commissioner of Police Dankombo Morris, Psc (+), deployed security operatives to the scene. Furthermore, authorities recovered the decomposed body of the victim inside a sack bag. A further search of the suspects’ residence led to the discovery of the severed head. This had been buried in a shallow grave within the premises.

During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed, expressing regret and blaming their actions on the devil.

Moreso, in condemning the horrific act, CP Morris directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.

The police commissioner assured the public that justice would be served and urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant.

“We call on residents to report any suspicious movements in their neighborhoods to the police to prevent such tragic incidents,” the statement added.

As investigations continue, the case has sparked widespread outrage, with calls for swift justice against the perpetrators.
