Otu Oka-Iwu Abuja Unveils Exciting 3-Day Event To Promote Igbo Unity

 

Otu Oka-Iwu Abuja (Igbo Lawyers) has announced the much-anticipated “Otu Oka-Iwu Week“, a three-day event dedicated to fostering unity and development within the Igbo community.

Scheduled from the 13th to the 15th of December 2024, this annual gathering promises an enriching and dynamic mix of intellectual engagement, sports, cultural displays, and thanksgiving. This year’s theme, “Strengthening Igbo Unity: The Quest for the Creation of a New State in the South East,” underlines the collective commitment to progress.

Event Highlights:

– Day 1: Seminar and Cocktail
The opening day features a thought-provoking seminar and a networking cocktail, setting the tone for meaningful discussions and engagements.

Morning (9:00 AM)
Venue: NBA Auditorium, NBA House, CBD, Abuja
Keynote Speaker: Chief Osita Chidoka (Ike Obosi)

– Day 2: Sports and Cultural Night
Start the morning by 7 am, with invigorating activities like Ogene Jogging, cycling, board games, 5-a-side football, badminton, and more at the Monalisa Recreation Park.

The day concludes with Mgbede Egwu’Onwa (Evening of Dance) at Sandralia Hotel from 5pm, featuring cultural dances, a Christmas carol, food-fair displays, a chieftaincy conferment, and a presentation by the Centre for Memories.

– Day 3: Thanksgiving Service
The week wraps up with a Thanksgiving Service at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Maitama by 10am, to celebrate shared achievements and aspirations.
