Ogwu James Onoja, SAN Set To Be Ordained Elder Of United Evangelical Church
On October 27, 2024, Ofante-Ogugu in Kogi State’s Olamaboro Local Government Area will host the ordination of renowned legal luminary Dr. Ogwu James Onoja, SAN (Senior Advocate of Nigeria), as an Elder of the United Evangelical Church (UEC).
The ceremony, set to attract top legal figures, friends, and well-wishers from across Nigeria, will take place at Onoja’s country home. The ordination will be conducted by Pastor James Ameh of the UEC, with other prominent clergymen from across the country in attendance.
Onoja is being recognized for his philanthropic efforts, leadership, and significant contributions to the growth of both the church and his community. Known for his devotion to Christianity and strong family values, Onoja and his family are active participants in the church.
Born on February 19, 1968, in Idah, Kogi State, Onoja has built an impressive legal career, with several publications to his name. He is the Principal Partner of Dr. O.J. Onoja, SAN & Associates, a leading law firm with branches across the country. A graduate of the University of Jos (UNIJOS) and the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, Onoja holds advanced degrees from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and the University of Calabar (UNICAL).
Onoja is a member of several prestigious legal and management organizations, including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the International Bar Association (IBA), and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is also a board member of several companies and registered as a Capital Market Consultant with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
