Notary Public: Abuja Lawyer, Al-Bashir Likko Adds Another Feather To His Cap

Abuja based lawyer and Principal Partner of Likko & Associates, Mr Al-Bashir Lawal Likko has been appointed a Notary Public of Nigeria, today 29th June, 2022 in Abuja.
The solemn oath taking ceremony which took place by 10 a.m. at the Ceremonial Court of the FCT High Court, Maitama Abuja was administered by the Chief Judge of the FCT, Hon. Justice Hussein Baba Yusuf.
The appointment was made pursuant to the Notaries Public Act Cap. N141, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 and is one of the coveted ranks in the legal profession.
Only lawyers who have been admitted to the Nigerian Bar for at least seven years prior to the day of appointment and who scale through a very rigorous screening process to test their professional ability and integrity are appointed as Notaries Public.
Each applicant must also be vouched for by several judges of the High Court of the state, where he/she practices to be successful. Notaries public are by law deemed as officers of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
This is yet another laurel in the bag for Likko, who was recently inducted as a fellow of the Nigerian Immigration Lawyers Association (NILA)
