NLS Class of 2003 Webinar On Artificial Intelligence: Spotlight On Rotimi Ogunyemi

AI’s transformative potential is immense, far beyond automating repetitive tasks. It reshapes business models and creates competitive advantages. Reflecting on Amazon’s AI journey provides a clear example: AI served not merely as a productivity tool but as the bedrock of a disruptive business model that revolutionized retail. The question leaders should grapple with now is: How can they reimagine their business processes and operating models, given the new capabilities made possible by AI?

The above is an excerpt from an article titled Business Transformation Through AI – Opportunities and Legal Risks, written by Rotimi Ogunyemi and published on Medium on June 14, 2023.

We could begin by turning the question posed by Mr Ogunyemi around by asking lawyers how they could reimagine their practice, regardless of their specialities, and leverage AI to overcome limiting physical hurdles to gain global recognition.

This question would certainly be among several questions that Rotimi Ogunyemi and his co-panellists would be answering on the 9th of March 2024 during the maiden webinar organized by the NLS Class of 2003, designed to help legal practitioners in Nigeria to explore the benefits and massive potential of AI in their legal practice.

Before the questions start flying at the webinar, however, let’s introduce Rotimi Ogunyemi, who is a managing partner in Bayo Ogunyemi & Co. (Johnson & Wilner LLP).
