NILA Law Journal Announces Call For Papers, 2025 Edition
The Nigerian Immigration Lawyers Association (NILA) has issued a call for submissions for the upcoming NILA Law Journal, Volume 2, Number 1, scheduled for publication in 2025. The journal, a peer-reviewed publication, focuses on a wide array of contemporary and practical issues in the dynamic field of immigration law, aligning with NILA’s mission to promote justice, advocate for fair immigration policies, and enhance the professional growth of its members.
The Editorial Board invites original and unpublished articles on topics related to Nigerian and comparative immigration law and policy, business immigration, forced migration, refugee law, internal displacement, and nationality law. Submissions may also explore intersections with other legal fields such as administrative law, constitutional law, criminal law, human rights, and labor law.
Guidelines for Submission
– Language and Format: Manuscripts must be written in British English, in Microsoft Word format, using a 12pt font size (10pt for footnotes) and 1.5 line spacing.
– Citation Style: References should adhere to the NALT Uniform Citation Guide, available at [www.naltng.org](http://www.naltng.org).
– Abstract: Submissions must include an abstract of no more than 250 words, summarizing the introduction, research methods, findings, recommendations, and conclusion.
– Word Count: Articles should not exceed 7,500 words (including footnotes), while commentaries and reviews are capped at 4,000 words (including footnotes).
– Author Information: Author details, including name, contact information, academic qualifications, and institutional affiliations, should appear in a footnote on the first page of the manuscript.
– Peer Review: All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review and plagiarism check.
– Copyright: Authors must ensure their work does not infringe copyright laws.
