The Nigerian Law School, Kano Campus, Class of November 2007, through its President Jude Ezeobi ESQ, proudly congratulated one of its esteemed alumni, Justice Dr. Bariyama Sylvester Kokpan, on his recent elevation to the Bench as a Judge of the Rivers State High Court.

In a statement signed by the Class President, Barr. Jude Ezeobi, Esq., the Class of 2007 expressed their admiration and deep respect for Justice Dr. Kokpan, who was appointed directly from the Bar to the Bench after a distinguished career as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Rivers State University of Science and Technology. The statement highlighted his impeccable legal career and unwavering commitment to justice, which have earned him this distinguished honour.

“We, the Class of 2007, are overjoyed to celebrate the well-deserved appointment of our dear colleague, Justice Dr. Bariyama Sylvester Kokpan, to the Rivers State High Court. Barr. Ezeobi commended Justice Dr. Kokpan’s exemplary contributions to the legal profession over the years, describing him as a shining example of professional excellence and judicial fairness. “Justice Dr. Kokpan has proven himself as a brilliant legal mind and a staunch advocate for justice throughout his career as a distinguished lecturer, within and outside Bar. His appointment to the Bench is a reflection of his outstanding capabilities and the high regard in which he is held by his peers and the legal community.”

The Class President also emphasised the close-knit bond between the classmates, assuring Justice Dr. Kokpan of their full support as he embarks on this new chapter of his career. “As your classmates, we stand with you and pledge our unwavering support as you continue to serve the cause of justice from the Bench. We are immensely proud of your achievements and are confident that you will excel in your new role.”
