NBA President Reaffirms Commitment To Environmental Sustainability
The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, has reaffirmed the association’s dedication to environmental sustainability and advocacy for a healthier ecosystem.
Osigwe made this pledge during a courtesy visit from the Association of Environmental Lawyers of Nigeria (AELN), led by Professor Samuel Chisa Dike. He emphasized the vital role lawyers play in shaping environmental policies and driving sustainable practices.
The AELN, known for its longstanding advocacy on environmental issues, sought the NBA’s partnership in knowledge sharing, capacity building, and raising environmental awareness.
A key moment of the visit was the conferment of the “Fellow, Green Advocate of Nigeria” title on Osigwe, in recognition of his contributions to environmental justice and sustainability.
The NBA reaffirmed its commitment to working with stakeholders to advance legal interventions that protect the environment and promote sustainability for future generations.
