NBA President Pays Condolence Visit To Family Of Late Hon. Justice Titi Daibu

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Y. C Maikyau, OON SAN over the weekend, paid a condolence visit to the family of late Hon Justice Titi Daibu at his Lordship’s residence in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Mr Maikyau was in Ilorin on the 10th of December 2022 and he was received by members of Ilorin and Offa Branches of the NBA who accompanied him and his entourage to make stops at various places in Ilorin.

Arriving at the residence of late Hon Justice Titi Daibu, he met with members of the family and in condoling with the family of the deceased he said, “This is not an auspicious visit. One will have thought we should have come here for the ascension of my lord as Chief Judge of this State but God knows best. My lord was like a mother to me and I had cause to relate with my lord through my colleague Muhammed Adelodun. On behalf of the NBA, I send our sincere condolences to the family. We know that our mother left a big void and we all know her role while she was around but God knows best and we pray that God prepares someone to fill that void. She was a Judge we were very proud of. Please accept our condolences and may God Almighty grant her eternal rest.”

One of the members of the entourage of the President, J. S Mohammed appreciated the President for coming and prayed for his administration as NBA President.

He said that the Ilorin legal community felt the death of the deceased in many ways; that by January 2023, she would have been the substantive Chief Judge and that she is a person that does not compromise.

He also offered prayers according to the Muslim faith, asking that the Almighty will forgive her shortcomings and he prayed for all members of the family.

He concluded by wishing the President and others a safe journey back to their various destinations.

A member of the family of the deceased, Dr. Abdulrasaq Daibu appreciated everyone for coming.
