NBA President Celebrates Yilji, Esq. On Investiture As President Of Plateau State Boys’ Brigade
The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Yakubu C. Maikyau, OON, SAN celebrates a consummate Bar man, Mr Yilji David Nenfwang on his forthcoming investiture as President of the Boy’s Brigade, Plateau State Council on the 28th day of May, 2023.
Maikyau in his congratulatory message expressed confidence that the appointee, Mr. Yilji who is a former Chairman of the NBA Pankshin branch, will definitely display leadership qualities in this role and continue to represent the Bar positively.
Yilji David Nenfwang is Ngas by tribe from Kor Village, Pankshin LGA of Plateau State. Upon completion of his primary & Secondary education, he went to College of Arts Science and Technology, Kurgwi for his IJMB Program. Shortly afterwards, he secured admission (direct entry) to study Law at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and graduated in 2008. He then proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Abuja where he was called to the Bar in 2009. During his National Youth Service, he worked in a Law Firm, TAB ADENIPEKUN & CO in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Upon completion of his NYSC program, he commenced a full-time Legal Practice with CLEMENT IORNONGU & CO where he also served as the Legal Officer of an NGO known as INTERCEP in Jos. He was also a part-time lecturer with United School of Technology (UNITECH) Gamajigo, Zaria road,Jos.
D.N Yilji later secured employment with Plateau State Ministry of Justice and he is currently Assistant Director of Public Prosecution and was immediate head of Langtang Zonal Office of the Ministry. He has secured many judgements both at the trial and appellate levels of the courts due to his passion for litigation.
In his quest for academic pursuit, he proceeded to the University of Jos and obtained a Masters Degree in Law (LL.M). Currently, he is a Ph.D student in the same Faculty of Law, University of Jos.
D.N Yilji held so many positions too numerous to mention, both in the spiritual and secular domain. At the professional level, he was Secretary as well as the immediate past Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association, Pankshin Branch. He has been a NEC member of the NBA National for over four years consecutively. He is a member of many Standing and Adhoc Committees in different fora. His hobbies are song composition, singing and reading.
