NBA NEC Confirms 2025 Conference Fees For Annual General Conference In Rivers State
At its ongoing National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Enugu, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has approved the conference fees for the 2025 Annual General Conference set to take place in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, from August 23-30, 2025. The announcement follows the initial disclosure by NBA President, Mazi Afam Osigwe SAN, during his inaugural speech in August.
The NEC’s approval outlines a fee structure designed for inclusive participation, catering to members at various stages of their legal careers. Notably, the fees for young lawyers incorporate a 20% reduction, as previously pledged by President Osigwe.
Conference Fee Structure:
– Young Lawyers (1-9 years post-call): N40,000, valid until May 31, 2025. This aims to support early-career legal professionals in attending and benefiting from the event.
– Lawyers (10-19 years post-call): Early bird fee set at N75,000, consistent with the 2024 conference rate.
– Senior Lawyers (50 years post-call and 70 years old and above): Complimentary attendance.
The NBA’s commitment to fostering unity and professional development promises an engaging and impactful experience at the 2025 conference. Members are encouraged to register early to secure their participation.
The Conference Planning Committee will be led by Emeka Obegolu SAN (Chairman), with Sammie Somiari SAN as the Alternate Chair, and members including Aminu Gadanya, Barbara Omosun (Secretary), Olaide Oluwayomi-Ajewole, and Williams Daudu.
