NBA Launches Online Registration For Notaries Public
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has officially launched the www.notary.gov.ng website, now fully operational for Notaries Public registration. This online platform enables Notaries Public to register for vetting and inclusion in the Electronic Register.
In the announcement, NBA’s Publicity Secretary, Bridget Edokwe, encouraged all Notaries Public to complete their registration, highlighting key requirements:
– Passport Photo: A passport-sized photo in jpg, jpeg, or png format.
– Supreme Court Number & Swear-in Date: The Supreme Court Number and the date of swearing-in as indicated on the Oath document.
– File Number (Optional): For those with a file number, use the year and the 6-digit number from the latest letter.
– Legal Email & Contact Info: Official email and phone number for communication purposes.
– Accurate Data: Ensure all information provided is correct, as inaccurate or duplicate entries may cause issues during submission.
Key registration details include:
1. File Number (if applicable)
2. Supreme Court Number (SCN)
3. Full Name (First, Middle, and Surname)
4. State of Practice or Current State
5. Office Address
6. Swear-in Date
7. Phone Number
8. Legal email address
Upon successful submission, a confirmation email will be sent to applicants.
