NBA Introduces Digital Annual Practice Licenses For Lawyers

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), under the leadership of Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, launches issuance of digital Annual Practice Licenses. This is for all lawyers who have duly paid their Annual Bar Practicing Fees for the year 2025. Moreso, this has been stated in an issue signed by Dr. Mobolaji Ojibara, General Secretary, of the Nigerian Bar Association.

To ensure accuracy and prevent errors in the issuance of these licenses, lawyers are urged to verify and update their names on the NBA portal immediately.

Additionally, members with pending name corrections or change-of-name issues must resolve them promptly with the Supreme Court. Furthermore, the digital license will be generated strictly based on the enrolled names in the Supreme Court database.

Key Updates:

  • Lawyers who have not received their digital licenses or have received them with incorrectly arranged names should visit their NBA portal to obtain a corrected version.
  • Members are encouraged to print, frame, and display their Practice Licenses in their law offices as proof of eligibility to practice.
  • For assistance, lawyers can visit the NBA portal or contact the NBA Helpdesk via barservices@nigerianbar.org.ng.
