NBA Idemili Commended For Immortalising Obosi Sons

Igwe Dubem Iweka (EzeIweka III) of Obosi kingdom in Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State has commended the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Idemili Branch, for immortalising three late legal luminaries of Obosi origin.

EzeIweka gave the commendation recently after the inauguration of the ultramodern Idemili Bar Center built at Ogidi High Court premises which was facilitated by the Administrative Judge, Idemili Judicial Division, Honorable Justice Peter Obiora and commissioned by Anambra State Chief Judge, Honorable Justice Onochie Anyachebelu.

Various sections/departments of the Idemili Bar Center were named after the renowned but late Obosi legal practitioners in recognition of their contributions to the legal profession which served as role models to young lawyers and Nigerian youths.

The Idemili Bar Center Hall of Honour, which serves as auditorium for workshops and seminars during law week decorated with portraits pictures of awardees and sponsors of the construction of the bar center was named after Hon Justice Michael Ajaegbo.Also, the Bar Center Library was named after the late Chief Chimezie Ikeazor, SAN, while the Relaxation Center was named after Prince Rob Iweka, SAN. The three were illustrious sons of Obosi.

EzeIweka urged other young Obosi indigenes to emulate them by becoming the best in their chosen professions in order to leave a landmark worthy of remembrance.

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Anambra State Chairman, Ifeatu Obi Okoye and Senator Mike Ajaegbo, who were also major sponsors of the project lauded NBA Idemili Branch for Immortalising their fathers. The Bar Center Conference Room was named after the late Hon Justice Alfred Obi Okoye.

Moreover, other sponsors and former Ananbra State House of Assembly Chief Whip, Chuba Oranusi, Former NBA Idemili Branch Chairmen, Pierre Oseme Esq. and Benjamin Okoko Esq., former Chairmen, Idemili North, Asha Nnabuife Esq and Chief Okey MuoAroh in their various speeches after eulogising Hon Justice Obiora for his doggedness towards ensuring the construction of the bar center at a record time, said that presence of the bar center has a lot to contribute to the promotion of professionalism and welfare of lawyers saying that it was good to give honour to whom honour is due.
