NBA Announces Thanksgiving Service For 2025 Annual General Conference

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) will begin its 2025 Annual General Conference with a special thanksgiving service in Enugu.

The thanksgiving service will hold on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Cathedral Church of the Good Shepherd, Achi Street. According to the organisers, the event will start at 10:00 a.m. and is open to members, dignitaries, and well-wishers.

The NBA states that the service will set a reverent tone for the week-long conference themed “Stand Out, Stand Tall.” It is also designed to provide an opportunity for members to reflect, give thanks, and seek blessings for the profession.

The cathedral, located at Independence Layout, will host lawyers, judges, government officials, and guests attending the conference’s opening activities. The Association emphasised that the thanksgiving service highlights gratitude and faith as central values guiding the legal profession and its practitioners.

After the church program, participants will proceed to the International Conference Centre, Enugu, for the official start of proceedings. Organisers revealed that sessions will include workshops, plenaries, exhibitions, and networking events designed to enrich legal practice and professional standards.

The NBA described the thanksgiving service as a reflection of its holistic approach to conference planning, catering to both spiritual and professional needs. It added that the service will inspire unity and commitment among lawyers as they embark on critical deliberations during the week.

The Association urged members to attend early, noting that the event will feature prayers, hymns, and messages tailored for the legal community. Leaders of the Association expressed optimism that the service will strengthen bonds of fellowship and guide discussions during the annual gathering.

The NBA has assured participants that the 2025 Annual General Conference will deliver a memorable, inclusive, and impactful experience for the legal profession.
