NBA-Employment And Labour Relations Committee Annual Workers’ Day Interactive Session- May 1, 2025

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Employment and Labour Relations Committee is pleased to invite you to its maiden May Day Dialogue, an annual event conceived by the Committee to commemorate Workers’ Day.
This year’s session, themed “Access to Labour Justice For All: Prevention and Resolution of Labour Dispute” aims to engage key stakeholders in a comprehensive discussion on contemporary labour law issues, with especial emphasis on access to labour justice for the realization of labour rights and the effective implementation of international best practices in the world of work.

OBJECTIVES
• Enhance understanding of the concept of Labour Justice by discussing the concept of labour justice and its significance in the current economic climate;
• Highlight the collaborative roles of employers, employees, and government in ensuring fair labour practices.
• Highlight the legal and regulatory frameworks for labour dispute-resolution both in rights-based and interest-based disputes.
• Provide a platform for stakeholders to share insights on labour rights and the future of work.
• Generate actionable insights to improve labour laws and practices in Nigeria.
