NBA AGC 2025: NBA Lawyers In The Media Forum To Host Key Session On Advertising Offences Tribunal At Annual Conference

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lawyers in the Media Forum will host a major session on the Advertising Offences Tribunal (AOT).
The session, themed “Advertising Offences Tribunal and Media Practice in Nigeria,” will take place on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in Enugu. It will be held at the Ultra-Modern International Conference Centre during the NBA Annual General Conference (AGC).
Hon. Justice C.M.A. Olatoregun will chair the session, while Chief Akinlolu Kehinde, SAN, will deliver the keynote address.
Furthermore, TVC’s Kemi Fola-Adeyemo will moderate a panel featuring Dr. Monday O. Ubani, SAN, and Mr. Chukwuemeka Eze, LLM, NP, FCTI. The panel also includes Mr. Charles S. Odenigbo, rpa, FICMC, FNIMN, and Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, rpa, FCA, FNIMN, Director-General of ARCON.
The Forum said the session will create a platform for lawyers and media stakeholders to debate the tribunal’s impact on practice. It emphasised that discussions will also focus on wider challenges affecting media regulation and freedom of expression in Nigeria.
According to the organisers, the NBA Lawyers in the Media Forum was created to strengthen media law and journalism practice. Therefore, the session represents another effort to expand legal and regulatory knowledge in the fast-evolving media landscape.
The NBA’s 2025 Annual General Conference will run from August 22 to 29, 2025, in Enugu. The conference promises robust discussions among lawyers, policymakers, and industry leaders on shaping the future of law in Nigeria.
Consequently, the Forum has invited legal practitioners, journalists, regulators, and the public to participate in this critical discourse.
