NBA Abuja Branch Releases Interim Voters List For Branch Elections

The Abuja branch (Unity Bar) of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has released a temporary voters list in preparation for its forthcoming elections.
A statement signed by the Chairman of the branch Electoral Committee, Olatunji Salawu and the Secretary, Tony Idoko, revealed that for members to be eligible to vote, they must have attended a minimum of 5 out of the last 12 meetings of the branch.
The interim voters list was compiled based on both physical and virtual attendance registers of the branch meetings which were duly circulated to members before every succeeding monthly meeting.
According to the statement, members who believe they have been wrongfully excluded should visit the branch secretariat to verify the meeting attendance registers within 7 days from 23rd May.
Members whose names appear on the list must report any errors on their email addresses to the branch secretariat or the electoral committee by email (electoralcommittee@nbaunitybar.org) within 7 days from 23rd May as only eligible voters with correct email addresses will be able to vote at the online election.
The final voters list will be subject to confirmation of payments of Bar Practising Fees and Branch dues for the years 2021 and 2022 as at 31st March in the respective two years only.
