Nasarawa Court Sentences Man To Death By Hanging For Murder

 

A Nasarawa State High Court sitting in Akwanga has sentenced Gambo Adamu to death by hanging for the murder of Hassan Ahmed.

The court found Adamu guilty of killing Ahmed and harvesting his organs, a heinous act that led to the victim’s death.

Delivering the judgment, Justice Mustapha Ramat ruled that the crime committed by Adamu was punishable by death under the law.

Speaking to journalists after the verdict, the state Attorney General, Dr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, hailed the ruling as a victory for justice and a warning to those contemplating similar crimes.

“This judgment underscores the judiciary’s dedication to upholding justice and deterring criminal behavior,” Dr. Magaji stated.

The Attorney General emphasized that the severity of the crime warranted the harsh sentence, affirming the government’s resolve to address criminal activities in the state.
