Mercy Chinwo Nears Final Settlement With EezeeTee, Lawyer Confirms

Nigerian gospel singer Mercy Chinwo is close to reaching a final resolution with her former record label boss, EezeeTee, according to her legal representative, Pelumi Olajengbesi.

In a statement shared on Instagram on Friday, February 7, 2025, Olajengbesi assured that both parties have shown a genuine commitment to settling their dispute and are actively working towards a resolution through their lawyers.

The statement also addressed Dr. Stephen Akintayo, a businessman who had publicly positioned himself as a mediator in the dispute. While appreciating his efforts, Olajengbesi criticized Akintayo’s approach, advising him to adhere to proper mediation protocols rather than handling the matter on social media.

He stated, “Concrete steps are being taken toward a final resolution. By God’s grace, we are confident that a settlement will be reached soon.”

He further cautioned Akintayo against making public remarks that could compromise the mediation process, urging him to reflect on elementary rules of mediation before intervening in such matters.

Chinwo and EezeeTee have been embroiled in a long-standing dispute, but this latest development signals a potential end to their legal and public feud.
