Katsina Government Allocates N38.5 Million Scholarship Fund For 77 Law Students

In a bid to support higher education and alleviate financial burdens on students, Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has given the green light for the disbursement of a N38.5 million scholarship fund. The fund is designated for 77 students hailing from Katsina State who are currently pursuing legal studies at the Nigerian Law School.
The announcement came through an official statement issued by Mr. Salisu Lawal-Kerau, the spokesperson of the State Scholarship Board, on Saturday in Katsina. Lawal-Kerau emphasized that the allocated amount serves as a maintenance allowance for the 77 law students covering the academic sessions of 2021/2022 and 2022/2023.
Highlighting the rationale behind this move, Lawal-Kerau pointed out that the economic challenges facing students necessitated such support. The scholarship aims not only to alleviate financial strain but also to foster a conducive environment for the students to focus on their studies without undue financial worries.
Furthermore, Lawal-Kerau confirmed that the State Scholarship Board has finalized arrangements for the smooth disbursement of the scholarship funds to the deserving law students, ensuring that they receive the necessary support to pursue their legal education without hindrance.
