Mazi Afam Osigwe Sports Tournament Ends With A Bang At NLS Enugu Students Representative Council Week

At the recently concluded Mazi Afam Osigwe Sports Tournament held during the Student Representative Council week of the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus, a total of 32 Gold Medals, 28 Silver Medals and 20 Bronze Medals were won by all the participants across all the competitions.

At the conclusion of the tournament  which lasted between 28th of August and 3rd of September, 2023 an Award of Honour was presented to Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN for his immense contribution toward the extra curricular development of aspirants to the Bar and the success of the SRC week. Mazi Afam Osigwe expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the law students for the honour, stating that the event was a celebration of the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and the profound connection between law and sports.

“I want to express my gratitude to our colleagues in equity  from the Students Representative Council at Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus, particularly Mr. Afolabi Adedeji, for honoring me by naming the sports tournament after me during the student’s week.

“The sports tournament held in my honor was not just a sporting event; it was a celebration of the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and the profound connection between law and sports. It showcased the dedication of our colleagues, in equity, to balance their lives as future legal practitioners,” he said.

“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Student’s Representative Council for their hard work and dedication in organizing this memorable event. Your tireless efforts in making this tournament a reality are commendable, and we are truly grateful for your commitment to our community.

“May I also congratulate all the winners and participants for their beautiful performances during the tournament even as I wish you all success in your forthcoming Bar exams.”
