Lusaka, Zambia 2024: AfBA Annual Conference Kicks Off With Welcome Cocktail [HIGHLIGHTS]

 

The 2024 Annual Conference of the African Bar Association (AfBA) officially began yesterday with a vibrant welcome cocktail party/opening reception hosted by the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ).

Legal professionals and distinguished guests gathered to celebrate the unity and impact of the legal profession across Africa. The evening event, led by Hannibal Uwaifo, President of AfBA, and Lungisani Zulu, President of LAZ, provided an opportunity for members to connect, network, and honour the profession’s strides on the continent.

Distinguished guests such as the Nigeria’s Minister for Justice and Honourable Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN; Director General of the Nigerian Law School, Prof. Isa Hayatu Ciroma, SAN; Chief Ibrahim Eddie Mark(Life Bencher); Chief J.K. Gadzama, SAN; immediate past Chairman of the NBA Abuja branch (Unity Bar), Mr Afam O. Okeke, Esq. and many others were in attendance at the event.
