LPDC Sanctions Four Legal Practitioners For Professional Misconduct

 

The Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) has announced sanctions against four legal practitioners found guilty of various professional misconducts.

According to legal notices issued by the LPDC Chairman on August 13, 2024, the following individuals have been penalized:

1. Abikoye Opeyemi Timothy (SCN034372):
– Sanction: Name struck off the Roll of Legal Practitioners.
– Additional Order: Refund of N2,359,000 to the petitioner.

2. Jonathan Chinedu Nwagwu (SCN052392):
– Sanction: Suspension from legal practice for 3 years, effective from April 24, 2024.
– Additional Order: Refund of N1,943,043.70 to the petitioner.

3. Edward Oseghale (SCN073464):
– Sanction: Suspension from legal practice for 2 years, effective from May 8, 2023.

4. Cyprian Obiora Ifeanyi Agwuna (SCN005675):
– Sanction: Suspension from legal practice for 2 years, effective from February 20, 2024.
