Layi Wasabi Reflects On Journey From ‘Lawbreaker’ To Lawyer At TEDx Lagos

Popular actor and content creator, Olayiwola Isaac, known by his stage name Layi Wasabi, has shared his remarkable transformation from a rebellious youth to becoming a lawyer. Speaking at a TEDx conference in Lagos, the 26-year-old entertainer opened up about his past, revealing that despite studying law, he once had a history as a “notorious lawbreaker.”
During his presentation, Wasabi reflected on his personal growth, recounting his brother’s humorous reaction when he decided to pursue law at the university. “Growing up, I was actually a lawbreaker, a notorious lawbreaker,” he confessed. “When my brother heard I had gained admission to study law, he jokingly said, ‘Not only will you now be a law-abiding person, but you will also be a custodian of the law. I hope the law is in safe hands.'”
