Lawyer Deji Adeyanju Mocks INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu Over Kamala Harris’s Defeat
Lawyer Deji Adeyanju has taken a jab at Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), following the electoral defeat of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris.
In a post on X, Adeyanju suggested Yakubu could intervene in the U.S. election results, sarcastically commenting that INEC should “switch off the US electoral server or change the result of the election.”
“INEC can still save Kamala. What INEC cannot do does not exist. They can switch off the server or change results on IREV,” he wrote, further adding, “Yakubu will now be screaming on top of his voice, GO TO COURT.”
On Wednesday, former U.S. President Donald Trump, a Republican, was declared the winner of the presidential election, defeating Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in a landslide. This victory makes Trump the first president to secure a non-consecutive second term after surviving two assassination attempts and a criminal conviction.
