Lagos Man Arrested For Alleged Sodomy And Child Abuse

A Lagos hotelier, known only as “CEO,” has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy at his hotel in the Bucknor area of Ejigbo, Lagos. The arrest was made by operatives from the Oracle Unit at the Zone 2 Command.
According to police reports, the victim was lured to the hotel by an accomplice named Balogun, who is currently at large. It is alleged that the hotelier sexually assaulted the boy twice in his duplex located in Egbeda, Akowonjo, Lagos. The victim reported that he was threatened not to disclose the incidents, or he would “run mad.”
The abuse allegedly occurred over several months, starting in late 2024. The victim finally confided in his mother, Mrs. Catherine Ndidi Amaka, about the assaults in December 2024. Following this revelation, his father, Mr. Christian Edozie, returned to Lagos on January 5, 2025, to confront his son and subsequently reported the matter to the Isheri Oshun Police Station.
Tragically, after reporting the incident, the victim’s mental health deteriorated, leading to erratic behavior described as “running mad.” Mr. Edozie claimed that initial attempts to arrest the hotelier were met with resistance from the Isheri Police, prompting him to escalate the matter to Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Adegoke Fayoade.
The hotelier eventually turned himself in with legal representation. During questioning, he acknowledged knowing the victim but denied any wrongdoing. He is currently in custody pending further investigation and will be charged in court once inquiries are complete.
The case has drawn significant attention due to its serious nature and the alleged failure of authorities to act promptly on initial reports of abuse. As investigations continue, police sources indicate that they are working diligently to gather evidence and ensure justice for the victim.
