Days after a student, Whitney Adeyemi Adeniran reportedly died, Chrisland School, Opebi-Ikeja, has been shut by Lagos state government.
This was disclosed in a statement by the state Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo on Sunday February 12, 2023.
The 12-year-old Whitney died on Thursday while participating during the school’s inter-house Sports day.
She said the closure was ordered pending the outcome of a full investigation into the unfortunate incident.
On suspicion of foul play, the parents of Whitney have cried out and demanded justice.
