Kano Police Parade 82 Suspects, Recover Weapons And Drugs
The Kano Police Command, represented by its spokesperson SP Abdullahi Haruna, presented 82 suspects at the Command’s headquarters in Bompai on Thursday for various crimes committed between November 1 and 14, 2024.
The arrests include 13 armed robbery suspects, 13 alleged thieves, 35 suspected thugs, 12 drug dealers, five fraud suspects, and two individuals each for motorcycle theft and kidnapping.
Recovered items include an AK-47 rifle, three locally made guns, dangerous weapons, hard drugs, and 10 mobile phones.
SP Haruna highlighted these achievements as a testament to the Command’s dedication to maintaining public safety. “Our strategies are yielding the desired results. The Command will continue reinforcing community policing, strategic communication for public security awareness, intelligence-led efforts, and targeted clearance operations to dismantle criminal networks,” he stated.
Haruna also thanked Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his continued support, which has bolstered the police’s operational capabilities in serving Kano State effectively.
