Kano state government has said that in its effort to enhance its judicial system from the grassroots, it will provide financial support to the state indigenes studying law in various institutions across the country.
The state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi, stated this while receiving an award of excellence in his office presented to him by the State indigenes from the Nigerian Law School.
According to him, ”Financial assistance to the law students will enable them to succeed in their studies.
He added that the “Government will not relent in its commitment towards boosting the judicial system from the grassroots, especially by providing maximum support to state indigenes who are studying law in various institutions in the country.”
The Attorney General, however, expressed happiness over the award and encouraged the students to be dedicated to their studies and ensure they come out with good results.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Information Officer, Kano State Ministry for Justice, Musbahu Aminu Yakasai, who quoted the chairman of Kano State indigenes Law Students, Aliyu Nuraddeen, as saying that the award given to the Commissioner is in recognition of his relentless effort towards facilitating the payment of government scholarship to them.
