JUST IN: NBA Secretary Elected Secretary General As WABA Elects New Officers

In a newsworthy development, the Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr Adesina Adegbite, Esq. has been elected as the Secretary General of the West African Bar Association (WABA).
The elections for the executive offices were conducted today in Cotonou, Benin Republic as the West African Bar Association (WABA) held its Annual General Meeting.
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) General Secretary secured the position of Secretary General for a term of two years.
WABA is composed of leaders from Bar Associations across West African states.
The newly elected positions are as follows:
– President: Mali
– Vice President: Liberia
– Secretary General: Nigeria
– Deputy Secretary: Guinea Bissau
– Treasurer: Sierra Leone
Representing Nigeria at the meeting were NBA’s General Secretary, its Welfare Secretary, Chinyere Obasi, and Chidi Udekwe, the Programme Officer of WABA.
