Jay-Z Seeks Dismissal of Sexual Assault Lawsuit, Calls for Sanctions Against Plaintiff’s Lawyer

Jay-Z is fighting a lawsuit accusing him and Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in 2000.

He filed a motion Wednesday, asking a Manhattan federal judge to dismiss the case and sanction attorney Tony Buzbee.

Jay-Z’s filing claims the lawsuit contains “substantial inaccuracies” that should have led Buzbee to drop the case.

One inconsistency involves the alleged victim’s father, who told NBC News he didn’t recall driving his daughter home.

“It strains credulity,” Jay-Z’s lawyers argued, “that a father would forget a 10-hour round trip to pick up his daughter.”

Another discrepancy concerns the woman’s claim that she spoke with Benji Madden, who later confirmed he wasn’t at the party.

Both Jay-Z and Combs have denied the allegations, calling the lawsuit baseless and riddled with contradictions.

Jay-Z’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, criticized Buzbee’s handling of the case, accusing him of ignoring clear inconsistencies.

Buzbee dismissed the discrepancies as memory lapses, but Jay-Z’s team argued that poor recollection doesn’t justify reckless litigation.

Jay-Z’s legal team accused Buzbee of rushing to file the lawsuit without properly investigating the facts.

The lawsuit initially named Combs and unidentified accomplices, but Jay-Z was later identified as “Celebrity A” in December.

Buzbee also accused Jay-Z’s Roc Nation of attempting to intimidate his firm and discourage plaintiffs from pursuing cases against Combs.

“This conduct specifically targeted our firm so we wouldn’t pursue cases related to the Diddy litigation,” Buzbee claimed.

Jay-Z’s legal team is pushing for financial penalties against Buzbee, arguing that the lawsuit was filed irresponsibly.

The legal battle continues as the court reviews Jay-Z’s motion to dismiss and Buzbee’s counterclaims.
