The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a stern warning about the increasing trend of candidates submitting falsified age declarations on their National Identification Number (NIN) slips. The examination body has expressed concern over the growing number of underage candidates altering their ages to meet university admission requirements.
JAMB has emphasized that this practice is dangerous, unnecessary, and detrimental to the integrity of the admission process. The board has reiterated that only candidates who are at least sixteen years old at the time of admission will be deemed eligible for university entry.
By maintaining this strict stance, JAMB aims to ensure that all candidates meet the minimum age requirement, thereby upholding fairness and compliance within the educational system.
